Baked Apple Oatmeal from Betty Crocker Healthy Heart Cookbook
- I make an awesome Baked Apple Oatmeal that I got from my Healthy Heart Cookbook. I don't even like oatmeal but this recipe I LOVE!
- 2 2/3 c old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 c raisins
- 1/3 c packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 c fat-free milk
- 2 medium apples or pears chopped (2 cups)
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 350. Mix oats, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, 4 cups of milk and the apples in a 2 quart casserole.
Bake uncovered 40-45 minutes or until most liquid is absorbed. Sprinkle walnuts over top and serve with additional milk.
