Sublimation Puzzle Blanks I Use for My Cat Puzzle Designs

Two of my loves are  cats and putting together puzzles.

Puzzles have been my go-to for letting my mind relax a little. And if you’ve ever done a puzzle with a cat nearby, you know they tend to make themselves part of the experience whether you ask them to or not.

At some point, those two loves started to blend together.

I began playing around with the idea of turning my own cat photos, past and present, into artwork. Not cartoon cats, not overly “human” cats, but cats that still feel real. Their expressions, their personalities, their moods. I use Canva AI to help me take what I already see in my head and shape it into a finished design.

Once I saw those designs coming together, I got the idea to turn them into puzzles. That’s how my portrait-style cat puzzles were born and eventually, how I decided to start selling them.

I also get asked a lot about the puzzle blanks I use, so I want to share that part honestly too. I’ve tested a few, and the ones I use now have been the most consistent by far. The colors come out vibrant, the surface feels solid, and they are a reasonable price, especially if you’re creating to sell and need reliability.

If you’re a maker and curious, these are the puzzle blanks I’ve had the best results with so far:

For me, these puzzles are more than just a product. They’re a combination of comfort, creativity, and a lifelong love of cats, turned into something you can sit with, work through, and enjoy one piece at a time.

More designs are on the way, and I’m really excited to keep building this little corner of creativity  one cat puzzle at a time.
